Lawrence G. Mohr
Chairman
Mr. Mohr is a successful entrepreneur, manager, and venture capitalist. He is a founding partner of Mohr, Davidow Ventures, a venture capital investment firm, which was formed in 1983. Previously, Mr. Mohr was a general partner of Hambrecht & Quist and a Vice President of BankAmerica Capital Corporation. Mr. Mohr holds a B.S. degree in engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. degree in engineering and an M.B.A. degree from Stanford University.
Peter Gardner
Mr. Gardner is a Managing Director at Wavepoint Ventures. He has more than 12 years of professional venture investing experience and has served on the boards of numerous early-stage, venture-backed technology companies. Previously, Peter was a general partner at Allegis Capital, a $515 million venture capital firm located in Palo Alto, CA. During Peter's tenure at Allegis the firm increased its capital under management seven-fold. Prior to Allegis, Peter was a vice president at Technology Funding, Inc., a $315 million venture capital firm. Peter has an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and bachelor’s degrees in both Biology and Environmental Science from Tufts University.
Dale D. Achabel, Ph.D.
Dale Achabal is the L.J. Skaggs Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean for Research & Development at Santa Clara University. He is also the Director of the Retail Management Institute and the Retail Workbench Research & Education Center, sponsored by a consortium of leading retailers from around the world. He is active in research focusing on the development of decision support and knowledge systems, multi-channel retailing and retail patronage and is a regular lecturer and consultant to a variety of organizations in these areas. Professor Achabal received his Ph.D. in Marketing and Regional Economics from The University of Texas at Austin. He has taught in the undergraduate, graduate, and executive development programs at a number of leading universities around the world including the University of California-Berkeley, University of Florida, the Norwegian School of Management, Ohio State University, Oxford University-Templeton College, Sup de Co - Rouen, France, The University of Texas, Tias - The Netherlands, and Santa Clara University.
Thomas Jones
Tom has over 20 years of experience in leading both publicly listed and privately funded enterprise software and applications companies. Most recently, he was CEO of Levanta, Inc. Previously Mr. Jones was President & CEO of Velosel Corporation, Senior Vice President of North American Sales at PeopleSoft , and President of MDL Information Systems, Inc. (MDL), a software application provider to the pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Mr. Jones has served on the Board of Directors of MDL, Nexprise, Ventro, Crosslogix and OnQ Technologies. Tom is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for At Hoc Inc, a software company with solutions for emergency warning and notification. He also serves on the national board of directors for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and the Advisory Board for Duke University School of Nursing.
Before entering the business world Tom spent 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Captain, USMC. Tom holds a BS in Analytical Management from the United States Naval Academy and a MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
Marty Hodgett
Chief Executive Officer
Marty Hodgett joined RivalWatch in September 2008 as CEO. Marty has 25 years of experience in the IT, retail, and consulting industries, with a proven track record of helping global retailers and service companies improve business performance through innovations in strategy, technology, and business process. Before joining RivalWatch, Marty was the CIO and VP of Business Strategy for Orchard Supply Hardware. At OSH, he was responsible for IT and business strategy development, including strategic planning and IT design, support, and operations. Prior to joining OSH, Marty had a distinguished 22-year career at Accenture where he was a Senior Partner in the Retail Practice, ran the Consumer Package Goods Practice in the Western United States, developed extensive international experience, and worked in the travel, transportation, financial services, and temporary services industries. At Accenture, Marty's clients included market leaders such as Best Buy, Starbucks, Gap, Ross Stores, Nestle, Adecco, FedEx and eBay, companies that use technology to create competitive advantage.
Marty has been a Board Member and advisor to Silicon Valley start-ups such as HiAim, Auguri, and Provilla. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University at Fresno and an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University.
Gary Puckett
Chief Operating Officer
Gary Puckett has more than 25 years of experience in information technology management, including P & L and sales management, contract negotiations, strategic alliance development, acquisition & transition management, and international business. His notable accomplishments include establishing and building high-growth relationships with major Fortune-100 corporate accounts. Gary Puckett's skill in this area resulted in annual revenues exceeding $600 million from Hewlett-Packard, $115 million from Xerox, and $40 million from General Electric. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Central Oklahoma University.
