Meet RivalWatch's Management Team

Marty Hodgett
Chief Executive Officer

Marty Hodgett joined RivalWatch in 2008 as CEO. Marty has 25 years of experience in the IT, retail, and consulting industries, with a proven track record of helping global retailers and service companies improve business performance through innovations in strategy, technology, and business process. Before joining RivalWatch, Marty was the CIO and VP of Business Strategy for Orchard Supply Hardware. At OSH, he was responsible for IT and business strategy development, including strategic planning and IT design, support, and operations. Prior to joining OSH, Marty had a distinguished 22-year career at Accenture where he was a Senior Partner in the Retail Practice, ran the Consumer Package Goods Practice in the Western United States, developed extensive international experience, and worked in the travel, transportation, financial services, and temporary services industries. At Accenture, Marty's clients included market leaders such as Best Buy, Starbucks, Gap, Ross Stores, Nestle, Adecco, FedEx and eBay, companies that use technology to create competitive advantage.

Marty has been a Board Member and advisor to Silicon Valley start-ups such as HiAim, Auguri, and Provilla. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University at Fresno and an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University.

Varouzhan Ebrahimian
Chief Technology Officer

Varouzhan Ebrahimian joined RivalWatch in 2010 to lead engineering and has overall responsibility for RivalWatch's product and services vision, architecture, and services delivery. Varouzhan has over 25 years of success leading the development of innovative enterprise-class and consumer internet software solutions. Varouzhan had a distinguished 16-year career at Oracle in various engineering leadership positions, driving and building new products and organizations. At Mirapoint Inc. he defined and built the company's collaboration products. Varouzhan was founder and CEO of HiAim, a SaaS solution for the corporate recruiting market.

Varouzhan is a venture partner with Sunbridge Partners, a Japan focused venture firm, and he is an active technology advisor to a number of startups and venture capitalists in Silicon Valley. He holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Colorado, a BS in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, and an MS in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Kevin Kane
Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Kevin Kane joined RivalWatch in 2011 and is responsible for driving Sales and Marketing for RivalWatch. Prior to joining RivalWatch, Kevin was VP and General Manager for Unify Corporation (NASDAQ: UNFY) from 2007-11. During his tenure with Unify, he assisted in executing four acquisitions resulting in a 235% increase in annual revenues. Prior to joining Unify, Kevin demonstrated transitional sales success in growing top-line revenue for several early stage enterprise software companies. At Meridian Systems, he served as the global sales director doubling revenues year over year from 2005 to 2007 and helped position the company for an acquisition by Trimble in 2006. Prior to Meridian Systems, Kevin assisted in launching new venture backed enterprise software companies as well as new growth engines within Fortune 100 companies, including Sterling Software, Beyond Software, Tivoli, Dazel and HP. Kevin received his BA degree in Business Management from Saint Mary's College of California and is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Ann Hsu
Vice President of Production and Operations/China

Ann helped co-found RivalWatch in 1999 and is currently based in Shanghai, China, and is responsible for services on existing products. Her high-tech career includes marketing, sales and business development positions with Tandem Computers (now HP Compaq), Philips Electronics and Siebel Systems. She helped grow a startup subsidiary of Tandem from 40 to over 200 consultants in less than three years, holding positions in program management, account management and sales. Prior to co-founding RivalWatch, Ann was responsible for strategic alliance partnerships at Siebel Systems. She has also consulted for Bay Area venture capital firms and start-up high-tech companies. Ann holds an MBA degree from the University of California Berkeley's Haas School of Business, as well as an MSEE degree from UC Berkeley. She received her BSEE degree from Penn State University.

Jeff Osborne
Vice President of Home Improvement/DIY Business Unit

Jeff Osborne joined RivalWatch in 2003 after more than 25 years with Lowe's Home Improvement. Jeff held a number of management roles in corporate pricing, contractor, sales, and store operations positions including store manager. Most recently Jeff was Director of Price Management for Lowe's where he was responsible for all aspects of price management. In this position he created a disciplined pricing direction, program, and accompanying policies and processes. He was also responsible for the development of a new Pricing System to include retail revenue management/optimization capabilities. Jeff holds a BS in Business Management from Western Carolina University.
